| Clear XP Unread Messages Launch RegEdit from
the Start menu's Run dialog and navigate to the key
HEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail
You'll find one of more subkeys below this key. Select each
subkey in turn and find the value MessageCount in the right-hand
pane. Double-click that value and set its data to 0. Now
look for a value named MessageExpirdDays. If you don't find
it, choose Edit, New, DWORD Value from the menu, name the new
value MessageExpirDays. Set this value's data to 0. |
